Hints:
  • Arrange all your circles on your backing fabric while on the ironing board so that you don't have to try to move it to iron the applique in place
  • Pellon 805 Wonder Under works well for raw edge applique
  • Pellon P44F or 906F fusible interfacing work well for the Fons & Porter: Sew Easy, Interfacing Applique technique.
  • If you are feeling adventurous, try the Fons and Porter technique using the Pellon 807 fusible web
  • If you plan to turn under the applique edges, remember that light fabrics on a dark background will have visible seams. A wide decorative stitch can be used to camouflage it.
  • For the freezer paper method, remember to iron your freezer paper before cutting your circles, and use a double layer of freezer paper for added durability
