Fabric Post Cards; November 2015

We had a great program this month on making Fabric Post Cards presented by Katy and Barbara. They brought many examples of the fabric post cards. Also, showing us how to put them together and encouraging everyone to use their creativity to implement all kinds of different techniques. The post card is small and easy to complete for all skill levels. There are many different types of applications such as applique, fancy machine stitching, or add embellishments. We thought it sounded so fun that we decided to have anyone that wanted to participate make one and exchange it at the December meeting.
You can find more examples on our Pinterest page here.

30 Block Lottery Trees

Thank you ladies for bringing all the beautiful tree blocks. We love your participation!

Quilt of Valor

We are really excited to be so close to finishing this quilt of valor.  It should be ready to be presented at our December meeting. Thank you to all the ladies that made this quilt possible.

Becky (President on the left) and Yvonne (VP on the right) with our first QOV.

Becky mentioned  the Mighty Lucky Quilt Club. It involves many great modern quilter's and skill builders.

Christmas  Party

Our December meeting is going to be a Christmas Party. Please bring a dish and recipe to share. We will be having a fabric post card exchange for those that would like to participate. Your post card will be put in a brown paper bag and each person will pick one up off the table. Also, there's will be a dirty Santa gift exchange. If you want to participate, bring a $10.00  gift. It doesn't have to be quilt related. All gift exchanges are fun and optional. Please bring what you are working on to show and tell.

Becky will be giving us a short introduction to Tula Pink.
As always, we would love to see you at the meeting. You are welcome to stay and sew until close at 3pm. For more info on where we meet, please see the top of the page under meetings.
Have a great holiday!

  1. Are these post cards what many have used to make name tags? I am looking at the Pinterest board. I was hoping for some instructions if this is what everyone did...

    Thank you!
